Course overview
The Certificate II in Workplace Skills reflects the role of individuals who have not yet entered the workforce or who are returning to the workforce after a long break, and are developing the necessary skills in preparation for work.
These individuals would carry out a range of basic procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require self-management and technology skills.
They perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.
Course duration and delivery
The 12-month program is delivered in shorter, more manageable terms of learning.
After a program orientation session, you will engage in online group workshops and tutorials, online activities, and have access to on-demand support as required.

- Office Clerk
- Office Assistant
- Customer Service Officer
- Reception staff
- Business Administration.
Program details
While there are no specific entry requirements, students are required to take the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
It will help us understand how we can assist you in any areas where you may need help while studying with us.
Computer with access to the Internet and with the ability to conduct video interviews. Minimum specifications for your computer are:
- Microsoft Windows 7 or later or Mac OS X or above
- Microsoft Office
- Up-to-date internet browser
- You may also need access to a printer and Adobe Acrobat reader to view and print PDFs (free download)
- A mobile video recording device i.e., a mobile phone that can record short video.
What you will study
BSB20120 – Certificate II in Workplace Skills is a nationally recognised qualification. Students will need to complete 10 Units of Competency, including:
